i don't think I've seen a pony comic with such complicated backgrounds, coiled wires, half empty cups, ink pots with spillage, everything looks used and worn. it kind of reminds me of starwars (the good ones) with the world not being symmetrical. i'm so used to seeing the ponyverse in flat colour blocks and vector it was kind of shocking. the ponies too, twi's disheveled hair, the train commuters, there's so much going on my eyes don't know where to start.
and to think this is just the spin off from some still greater work.
